Salesman smudged over tax amount as it was higher than we said. Would not give me V5 and car obviously did not have a full check over as interior light U/S tyre pressure warning light on
My experience at Hendy Car Store Exeter could have been better because
You failed to service the car as promised prior to handing it over. I was told to return to the garage on the 25th and it would be done then, only to turn up and be told they can’t do it that day and I have to re book for 4 weeks time.
The car you sold me has a fault that is potentially dangerous and no one seems to care and it can’t be looked at for over 4 weeks. And might not be covered by warranty.
When I went to collect the car it had not been cleaned so I had to wait around whilst they did that and it was an awful job with green marks still under the door handle.
I know want to soeek with some one at the store but feel I am being ignored by email. I guess you have my money and earn the commission from the finance so why bother me anymore.
I am now left trying to get the issues resolved with the help of the finance company and the motor ombudsman. That’s not to mention the incident where I was sent an email from dvsa to say a car was registered in my name that I don’t own, only to find out the sales man had put my email address in when sorting the paperwork for another customer. Possible breach of GDPR.
Don’t recommend the company avoid at all cost unfortunately I am stuck with them for the next 4 years
My experience at Hendy Car Store Exeter was positive because staff very helpful and car purchase was simple.
I would not recommend Hendy Car Store Exeter because Tom was a poor communicator when it came to the warranty. After 8 emails, he still hadn't sent the relevant documents. 4 phone calls later and I finally got to talk to a manager, Ellie was professional and sorted the problem quick smart, I am very grateful to her but I'm not sure I would buy from Hendy again because of this problem.
